 Biography/ Biographie

Upton D. Allen is a Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. He is Head, Division of Infectious Diseases, Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Allen is a Senior Associate Scientist in the Research Institute, Hospital for Sick Children. In 2018, he was awarded the Order of Ontario, which is the highest honor awarded by the province of Ontario, Canada. In 2021, he was honored with the appointment as Commander, Order of Distinction, Jamaica. Dr. Allen is a recipient of the African Canadian Achievement Award as well as the Harry Jerome Award.

Upton D. Allen est professeur de pédiatrie à l’université de Toronto. Il dirige la division des maladies infectieuses de l’Hospital for Sick Children à Toronto. Dr Allen est scientifique associé principal à l’Institut de recherche de l’Hospital for Sick Children. En 2018, il a été décoré de l’Ordre de l’Ontario, la plus haute distinction décernée par la province de l’Ontario, au Canada. En 2021, il a été nommé Commandeur de l’Ordre de la Distinction de la Jamaïque. Le Dr Allen a reçu le prix de la réussite afro-canadienne ainsi que le prix Harry Jerome.
