The network includes Members, Elected Allies, and Friends of the Network

Members: Black-identifying people possessing or pursuing advanced degrees in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Medicine/Health), living in Canada or Canadians living  abroad. We welcome those engaged in fundamental or applied research, STEMM practitioners, and those in leadership or STEMM-adjacent careers from across sectors. Elected Allies are leaders who affirm their commitment to actively supporting, promoting, and enabling structural change to ensure the development, recruitment, and success of Black STEM researchers within their organizations. Members may nominate an Allly.

Friends of the Network are CBSN employees or volunteers whose work helps to organize or deliver the network’s programs. ​Anyone may submit an expression of interest in becoming a friend of the network.
