Join us for an inspiring conversation with Sapiens Ndatabaye, CEO and founder of the World Disaster Center (WDC), as we explore his journey from a scientific background to leading global innovations in disaster management. In this session, we will discuss the challenges he faced in establishing a nonprofit, how his scientific training shaped his approach, and the transformative role of AI in enhancing disaster response. We will also examine WDC’s collaborations with scientific organizations in advancing environmental remediation projects. This discussion, aims partially to illuminate alternative career pathways for students and young professionals in science, demonstrating how their expertise can drive impactful change beyond traditional research roles.
